Application of Cerium Metal:
Cerium Metal, is applied in steel foundries industry for making FeSiMg alloy and it is used as an additive for hydrogen storage alloy. Cerium Metal can be further processed to various shapes of ingots, pieces, wires, foils, slabs, rods, and discs. Cerium metal is sometimes added to Aluminum to improve Aluminum's corrosion resistance.Cerium Metal is used as a reducing agent and catalyst.Cerium Metal is used as an alloy additive and in the production of cerium salts, as well as in industries such as pharmaceuticals, leather making, glass, and textiles.Cerium Metal is used as an arc electrode, cerium alloy is resistant to high heat and can be used to manufacture parts for jet propulsion.
