Shanghai, August 19 (SMM)-First-rate companies value standards, second-rate companies value brands, and third-rate companies value products. For companies in the rare earth industry in China today, whoever masters the industry product standards has the right to express their opinions in industry competition.
Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) issued 12 foreign language industry standards and 10 industry standards for approval and promotion, including 3 foreign language industry standards for rare earths, especially the chemical analysis method of NdFeB alloy and the determination of zirconium. , Niobium, molybdenum, tungsten and titanium content, and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry.
At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) also issued 21 national standards for rare earths, especially high-purity metal, lanthanum hexaboride, and ter metal target chemical analysis methods, thermal spraying yttrium oxide powder, ultra-fine powder . S oxide powder, scan stable zirconium oxide composite powder, scan aluminum alloy target, high purity rare earth metals, etc.
At the same time, the description of these industry standards emphasizes that with the advancement of science and technology and the development of international trade, higher requirements are put forward for the quality of laboratory chemical analysis and test data of rare earth products at home and abroad. .
In recent years, China has issued some industry standards for chemical analysis methods of rare earth products. However, with the development of the domestic rare earth industry, the industry standards for chemical analysis methods of rare earth products are not perfect.
In order to provide more accurate and effective testing services, chemical analysis laboratories of rare earth products usually need to adopt self-developed or improved testing methods. Especially in the field of rare earth chemical analysis, more and more laboratories use detection methods beyond the standard, but how to ensure the applicability and reliability of these detection methods has been controversial.
Therefore, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has issued a series of chemical analysis methods for rare earth products. First of all, it is a guidance document for laboratory confirmation and verification of chemical analysis methods. It aims to improve the quality of laboratory chemical analysis methods and rare earth product test data, and to ensure the validity and reliability of the data provided by chemical analysis laboratories.
In fact, China’s rare earth standardization work focuses on domestic and foreign market demand, corporate and social development needs, industrial technology development status, and systematic thinking and strategic thinking. At the same time, the development of standards should be promoted through technological innovation to maintain the competitiveness and vitality of rare earth standards.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the National Standards for Chemical Analysis Methods of Rare Earth Products this time to incorporate current industry standards and local standards into the national standards.
The scope of national standards is strictly limited to the technical requirements to ensure personal health, safety of life and property, national security, ecological environment safety, and meet the basic needs of social and economic management. As it is not suitable for the development of the rare earth industry, some industry standards and local standards have been cancelled.
At present, with the development of economic globalization, competition in the rare earth market has shifted from product technology disputes to standards and intellectual property disputes. The competitiveness of rare earth companies is not only reflected in the market share of products, but also in whether China’s product standards can become international industrial standards, that is, the right to express opinions in accordance with international standards.
It is worth emphasizing that the purpose of formulating standards for chemical analysis methods of rare earth products is to implement the standards, otherwise, even the best standards are useless.
Of course, once these standards are implemented, the rare earth industry will be forced to transform and upgrade. It is believed that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will accelerate the comprehensive popularization of product standards in the rare earth industry, and guide rare earth enterprises and testing institutions to accelerate the upgrade of production links and the application and implementation of use links. , To provide technical and policy support for the transformation and upgrading of rare earth enterprises.
